The department of HIV and sexual health research has an active and rich portfolio of clinical trials, observational studies and qualitative research all designed to improve the treatment and wellbeing of people living with HIV and those seeking sexual health care or advice.
About the role
The Commercial Trials Manager will provide comprehensive oversight for a portfolio of commercial trials within the HIV and sexual health research group, ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality research in line with regulatory requirements, local Trust policies, and national frameworks.
Working in close collaboration with principal investigators, the research delivery team, sponsors, and R&D departments, the Trials Manager will ensure that studies are initiated, delivered, and closed efficiently and according to the timelines stablished by sponsors.
They will be responsible for the day-to-day management of allocated studies, which will include, but not be limited to, tracking enrolment; ensuring all study records and site files are up-to-date and accurate; maintaining thorough documentation; and communicating with stakeholders throughout the duration of the studies.
The post holder will report directly to the Research Manager and Principal Investigators where relevant and will ensure excellent lines of communication and oversight. They are expected to make decisions (with guidance where necessary) and have an up-to-date knowledge of all relevant regulations and governance frameworks for carrying our research in the Trust.
This role requires a highly organised, collaborative and proactive individual.
This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an a fixed term contract until the 14 September 2027.
