This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Technician to join the team on a full-time basis.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Technician to support advanced histopathological workflows. The role requires expertise in microtomy (routine and complex), H&E staining, slide digitisation, construction of tissue microarrays (TMAs), and nucleic acid extraction from FFPE samples (sections or particulate material), followed by accurate DNA quantification.
The successful candidate will play a key role in translational research projects within the Glasgow Tissue Research Facility (GTRF) at the QEUH, taking responsibility for the planning, design, delivery, and safe operation of specialist technical equipment to optimise research output.
