During the off-the-job learning days, the apprentice will attend online and in-person training sessions with Westminster Adult Education Service, complete independent learning or write about their work for their portfolio of evidence, which is used in the end-point assessment.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, and be customer focused. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise, excellent IT skills, accuracy and attention to detail, ability to take responsibility, demonstrate initiative and resolve problems, and ability to develop skills and work towards common goals as part of a team are essential. Applicants should demonstrate an interest in the archives & records management profession, and knowledge of and commitment to inclusive practice. Motivation and commitment to completing a three-year Level 7 apprenticeship is also required.

Please follow the link to the LSHTM Jobs website for further information on the role and to submit an application.

The post is fixed term for 42 months and full-time, 1 FTE. The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 3 scale in the range £29,814 - £33,457 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). Induction training will be arranged prior to the first shift.

The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days.” Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.

The supporting statement section should set out how your qualifications, experience and training meet each of the selection criteria. Please provide one or more paragraphs addressing each criterion. The supporting statement is an essential part of the selection process and thus a failure to provide this information will mean that the application will not be considered. An answer to any of the criteria such as "Please see attached CV" will not be considered acceptable.

LSHTM is committed to being an equal opportunities employer. We believe that when people feel respected and included, they can be more creative, successful, and happier at work. While we have more work to do, we are committed to building an inclusive workplace, a community that everyone feels a part of, which is safe, respectful, supportive and enables all to reach their full potential.
