The Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team

Our EDI team is led by the Head of EDI Culture Change. We work across all areas of the University including with students, academics and professional services, providing support and guidance to achieve our EDI Statement of Ambition goals.  Our role is to support and inspire colleagues, facilitating change through action.

Central to our work is Salford’s EDI Statement of Ambition (SoA) which was launched in July 2023 and will drive a whole institution approach to EDI.

This is such a great time to join the team, the SoA has created a focus on delivering change and we have a community of EDI Leads and Advocates across the University who are doing just that! In this space our role is to enable, inform and help to change practice to bring the SoA to life and deliver on our EDI goals. We want Salford to be a sector leader in EDI practice, and you can be a part of our journey!

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive salary - and excellent pension scheme
  • An impressive 32 days leave - plus bank holidays, additional time off at Christmas and the opportunity to buy even more!
  • Flexible working - we support a culture of flexible and agile working to help you find the right balance
  • Our community - there's a real sense of belonging here at Salford. We value diversity, in backgrounds and in experiences.  Our difference makes us stronger, and together we share a passion for improving students' lives
