As part of the team that manages key services such as maintenance, security, cleaning, portering, and the post-room, you will be the first point of contact for day-to-day enquiries. You’ll help ensure service requests are efficiently logged, tracked, and followed up, while also supporting financial and administrative processes behind the scenes. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time (35 hours a week) contract, with a salary of £31,234 rising to £34,827 per year. 

The Operations Support Officer position involves a variety of responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for maintenance, security, cleaning, and other services.
  • Support the operation of helpdesk and job management systems.
  • Provide administrative assistance for scheduling and resource prioritisation.
  • Raise purchase orders, liaise with suppliers and maintain accurate procurement and financial records.
  • Assist with contractor compliance and health and safety requirements.

We are looking for an Operations Support Officer with the following skills:

  • Excellent customer service and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience in a helpdesk or customer-focused environment is desirable.

Salary and benefits: £31,234 rising to £34,827 per year, Grade 4 of the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting Allowance that applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
