This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you ready to join an enthusiastic and academically talented team? Do you have a passion for Equity Diversity and Inclusion? Are you enthusiastic about supporting the involvement of experts by experience in student education?
We are looking for an Expert by Experience (EBE) to work as an Equity Diversity and Inclusion Lead on the DClinPsy team, with a particular responsibility to coordinate EBE activities and support across the programme.
Leeds has a longstanding and highly regarded clinical psychology training programme. We are a close knit, friendly and supportive team, with excellent links with clinical psychology and expert by experience colleagues in West Yorkshire, and academic colleagues in the Institute for Health Sciences.
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in clinical psychology training is a national and local priority, and this post is based in the new Inclusion team on the programme.
The clinical psychology training programme is committed to diversity, and is supported by our host Division and School, the only Medical School in the UK to hold a Gold Athena SWAN award for Gender Equality.
The post holder will have a remit to build on what the programme has already achieved in this area and to establish sustainable change to be incorporated into the programme in the future.
They will coordinate Expert by Experience (EBE) involvement in the training programme, including around the overall aims to expand and strengthen the involvement of EBEs in our programme.
This will involve working with trainees, other members of the DClinPsy course staff, as well as local and national EBE groups. The post holder will also be expected to work with the Iinclusion team on the programme, and to link in with other initiatives at the University of Leeds, and with other clinical psychology training programmes regionally and nationally.
