Are you an enthusiastic, self motivated, effective team player with excellent customer service skills?
The Department of Finance provides a wide range of financial support across the whole University. The Faculty Finance teams provide advice and support to the Faculty to which they are aligned, covering School expenditure, budgets and all external project activities.
You will provide a high quality, responsive service in all aspects of your role, which will primarily focus on the financial management of research grants and other external projects, generating claims to funders to ensure income is received in a timely manner.
The role requires excellent communication skills to deal with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, from Academic and School colleagues to research collaborators, partners and funders.
Educated to GCSE, you will possess the ability to analyse and interpret often complex financial data.
This role could pave your way to a career within finance or could be a stepping stone into many other Professional Service areas. It is a great opportunity to commence on a whole new career path either for someone looking for their first role or anyone seeking a change of direction. The Department of Finance encourages and supports staff in pursuing Professional accountancy qualifications.
