St Edmund Hall has a thriving medical sciences community of both pre-clinical and clinical Medicine students and currently admits five to six students per year for the pre-clinical course and typically has around 12 students on course during the clinical years (Years 4–6). Teaching and academic support for Medicine students at the Hall is provided by a small group of Fellows and non-stipendiary lecturers.
The purpose of these new posts is to support the teaching of the Hall’s undergraduate clinical Medicine students, while also fostering the academic and professional development of the postholders. The appointments would be suited to clinically qualified individuals at senior specialist trainee or consultant grade with an interest and experience in medical education, who wish to expand their teaching portfolio.
Postholders will receive an annual stipend of £2,500. There will also be an entitlement to 30 lunches per year and one dinner per week during full term at St Edmund Hall, when the college kitchen is open.
