About the role:
We are looking for a Database Manager to join our dynamic multidisciplinary teams of COSMOS, Airwave, SCAMP, SAHSU and REACT research programmes, and to use their skills to help us improve understanding of the possible health effects of a range of environmental and genetic factors on disease. The department leads a number of large-scale epidemiological cohort studies including the REACT Study (REal-time Assessment of Community Transmission), COSMOS study (a major international research programme investigating mobile phone use and health across 6 European countries), the Airwave Health Monitoring study (cohort of British police personnel), the SCAMP study (Study of Cognition, Adolescents and Mobile Phones), and the UK Small Area Health Statistics Unit (SAHSU).
What you would be doing:
The successful candidate, under the direction and supervision of a senior Programme Manager will be joining the different research teams and contribute to the work of the newly established NIHR Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU) in Radiation Threats and Hazards, the MRC Centre for Environment and Health and the Mohn Centre for Children’s Health & Wellbeing, within the School of Public Health.
