Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Art History
SoH invites outstanding academics to apply for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Art History.
Applications are welcome from academics working in any area of art history. Most relevant fields include Asian art histories—particularly East Asian, South Asian, and/or West Asian art histories—as well as art histories of the Islamic world and histories of global contemporary art.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting art-historical research and will also participate in undergraduate and graduate level teaching as well as leadership/service duties, at a level that aligns with the expectations of a research-intensive university.
The successful candidate will be provided with a generous Start-Up Grant to support their active research agenda and publications, and will also be encouraged to secure competitive research grants administered by SoH, as well as the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, and other organisations. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to their own research areas of expertise.
