- THE ROLE -
The post holder will work within the Smart Nano manufacturing Northern Ireland consortium. The consortium shares a niche capability around nano manufacturing and world-leading knowledge in photonics and has been awarded a £42.4m UK Research and Innovation’s Strength in Places Fund. Smart Nano NI is a multi-partner project, collaborating to develop game-changing advanced prototyping and smart manufacturing methods to deliver new intelligent technologies and facilitate the fabrication of Smart Nano products.
The post holder will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between academia, industry, and cutting-edge AI initiatives. Working alongside the Principal Investigator at the Intelligent Systems Research Centre (ISRC), their primary responsibility will be to oversee and coordinate programs that foster collaboration, research, and innovation in the field of AI. They will work closely with Ulster University and Seagate Technology, in addition to other industry stakeholders, to drive impactful projects and advance AI technologies, and will also contribute to planning research, managing and reporting results, as well as publishing in high-impact conference and journal publications.
We may create a 12-month waiting list for same or similar roles within the Department / Faculty. The University reserves the right to extend the waiting list across the University if required for certain posts.
- ABOUT YOU -
The postholder will be required to have:
- Hold a Degree in Computing, Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or a closely related discipline.
- Hold a Master’s degree in Management (MBA or closely similar).
- Proven experience as a Program Manager or in a similar managerial position responsible for managing AI and/or technology projects.
