The opportunity
We are looking for an Associate Lecturer to join our MA Innovation Management course based in the Creative Enterprise Programme at Central Saint Martins (CSM).

MA Innovation Management recruits a diverse mix of ambitious students who predominantly come from various design, social science, management, tech, entrepreneurship and public service backgrounds. MA Innovation Management at Central Saint Martins is one of the first courses to locate innovation management in an arts and design college. Through its continual development, MA Innovation Management also has an emerging trajectory on regenerative practices.

MA Innovation Management (MAIM) develops students to achieve creative competencies and strategies to drive innovation and change in and across their chosen fields. Our students learn key interdisciplinary skills in project management, digital innovation, creative and critical thinking, innovation research, collaboration and teamwork, that will enable you to succeed in your chosen innovation related future role.

As an Associate Lecturer with expertise in research and practice for Innovation Management, you will provide expert guidance to students in developing academic research skills and writing, focusing on methods, structure, and scaffolding scholarship. You will support students with the preparation of dissertations, long or short articles, blogs and publishing. Your role will also involve teaching, supervision, assessment and feedback throughout Year 1 and Year 2 of their studies, ensuring high academic standards and promoting independent critical thinking.

This role provides an opportunity to join a progressive course team who will review and reframe the course curriculum, design and delivery, paying particular attention to how the course engages with identity and diversity, contested notions of culture, the emergencies of social injustice and climate change, and new relations between conventional and digital environments.

About you
As an experienced teacher/academic at PG level, you’ll have experience of assessment, admissions, management and organisation of an interdisciplinary PG course.

Ideally, you’ll have a good understanding of academic leadership, with experience of maintaining and enhancing standards and student experience.

Experienced in the fields of Innovation Management, you’ll also be effective at communicating with diverse audiences in inclusive and accessible ways.
