About the role
This exciting opportunity at the Brunel Centre involves joining a ground-breaking initiative at the forefront of regional economic research and development.
Embedded in a collaborative partnership between UWE Bristol, the University of Bath, and Futures West, and funded by the Research England RED Fund, the Brunel Centre will serve as a vital hub for economic data, research, knowledge exchange and policy innovation.
You will work as a Development Director in the Brunel Centre team to play an essential role in leading on external income generation, stakeholder interactions, and managing/securing partnerships for the Brunel Centre with regional and national stakeholders.
You will be based at the University of Bath campus but will be expected to work flexibly across the offices of the partners – the University of the West of England and Futures West – and in the West of England and wider South West region.
You will attend events and workshops, as need requires, to support partnership development and opportunities for the Brunel Centre in London and elsewhere in the UK.
Our ideal candidate
We are looking for a leader or senior manager with proven experience in strategy and/or business development in a business, university or public sector organisation.
You will have experience of managing partnerships, you will be adept at procurement and contracting services, and you will have been involved in securing research and innovation funding.
You will have strong interpersonal skills, and you thrive in collaborative environments, and have the communication skills to build trust and relationships with key stakeholders and partners, in both academic and business environments.
You understand the regional policy context of the West of England and wider region, and of the research areas the centre will focus on.
If you are ready to bring your expertise to a role that offers both income generation challenge and the chance to drive regional development, we would love to hear from you. Join us in shaping the future of economic policy in the West of England.
