Salary: Full time starting salary is normally in the range £36,636 to £46,049 with potential progression once in post to £48,822

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract

This role will be part of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Birmingham Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) Next Generations Therapies theme which translates new scientific discoveries into treatments and diagnostics to improve people’s health. The project focuses on inflammation and the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of its associated long-term diseases. This role will assist primarily in helping to collect technical data and in collating the documentation that is required to apply for and deliver clinical trials on novel technologies.

Role Summary

  • Work within the BRC Next Generations Therapies Theme, interfacing with the wider BRC project
  • Operate within area of specialism
  • Collect data suitable for inclusion into technical portfolios for submission to governance and the MHRA
  • Contribute to generating funding
  • Assist in the compilation of regulatory documents
  • Contribute to publications

Person Specification

  • First degree in area of specialism and normally, a higher degree (or near to completion) relevant to research area or equivalent qualifications
  • High level analytical capability
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly
  • Fluency in relevant models, techniques or methods and ability to contribute to developing new ones
  • Ability to assess resource requirements and use resources effectively
