London College of Fashion is seeking a specialist in 3D fabrication design and construction processes in costume making/fashion to play a key role supporting students and providing professional expertise, guidance and advice.
You will provide support to students and help them to develop proficiency in highly specialist techniques and production methods and technology. You will also contribute critical input to student concepts and projects.
The role also involves taking responsibility for and overseeing the daily running of specific areas and facilities within the College, including the use and booking of specialist facilities.
Your profile
You will need an MA and/or BA level or equivalent in 3D Fabrication Design and Construction, with experience of teaching construction processes in a costume, fashion, performance context.
You will also need a background in the Performance and Costume industry as a maker with experience of 3D design and construction processes.
The ability to understand and explain technical/specialist terms and convey information of a complex, conceptual and specialist nature is essential.
