Counselling & Wellbeing Services provide mental health and wellbeing support to help students complete their programme of study. The post holder will provide ‘One at a Time (OAAT)’ appointments and short blocks of therapy.
The Counsellor will use their therapeutic skills to support students with diverse needs, liaising appropriately with other internal and external services. This may include contact with disability or academic support, financial aid or with NHS or other external agencies.
Additionally, the Counsellor will provide interventions for students at risk, being confident in safety planning and escalating as appropriate in line with the Counselling Service risk protocol.
Due to the nature of the role, the majority of annual leave will need to be taken outside of term-time.
This post is part time (28hrs per week) and open-ended.
