About the Role
We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to lead on health and safety for the Faculty of Science and Engineering, supporting a safe, innovative, and high-quality learning and research environment. Alongside this Faculty leadership role, you will also act as the University’s Chemical Safety Adviser and Non-Ionising Radiation Protection Officer, providing specialist advice and assurance on chemical management and radiation safety across the institution.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence safety culture at one of the UK’s leading universities, working closely with academic, technical, and professional colleagues.
About You
You will require a degree in a relevant discipline and a NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards/equivalent) as well as experience of health and safety management in a complex, high-hazard environment such as science, engineering, or research. We continue to embrace diversity of thought and opinion in everything we do, in the belief that when views collide, disciplines interact, and perspectives intersect, truly original thought takes form.
