Our Alumni and Supporter Communications Officers work to strengthen a lifelong connection with the University for our graduates through a programme of targeted communications and engagement. Our operational focus is to keep our alumni engaged in the ongoing life of the University, and also to provide them with opportunities to share memories and connect with other alumni, both in the UK and internationally. At an institutional level, our aim is to involve our global alumni wherever we can in the delivery of the University’s strategic goals and ambitions.
Our centenary year in 2026 provides us with a unique and special opportunity to celebrate both the past successes and the exciting future for the University of Reading, and it is key for our alumni to be part of those celebrations. You will work to deliver against our communications plans to meet both internal and cross-functional deadlines. You will need to champion University objectives and messaging yet also reflect alumni/supporter preferences and interests, informed by research, feedback and the analysis of communications performance.
You will be an individual with demonstrable and impactful marcomms experience, Imagination and creativity aligned with an efficient and planned approach will be vital in this role, as will the ability to build good networks in order to source engaging content from both within the University and externally.

When you join us, you’ll join our vibrant, inclusive community, set in an award-winning Whiteknights campus, with great transport links to London and beyond and scope for flexible working.
Apply to join our team at this very exciting time in our University’s history, and help us make our Centenary year a global celebration of, and for, our alumni.
