We are proud to be attracting talented staff and students from across the world and are committed to creating an inclusive culture where all members of our community are supported to thrive and where diverse voices are heard through our engagement with evidence-based charter frameworks to ensure that we are an open, inclusive and safe community for all.

Working closely with the Assistant Director (Wellbeing, Inclusion and Culture) and the wider WIC team, the post holder will provide strategic advice and leadership across the University, guiding the implementation of action plans and frameworks that embed equality, diversity, inclusion, wellbeing and positive cultural change. The role will manage cross-functional team, support key staff and student networks, and ensure compliance with sector standards and relevant legislation including the Equality Act 2010.

The successful candidate will bring substantial experience of project and programme management within a complex organisation, together with a strong track record of delivering solutions in areas of equality, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing.

With over 30,000 students and 7,000 staff from 150 different countries we offer a diverse and engaging environment where our diversity is celebrated and valued as a major strength. We are committed to creating an inclusive culture where all members of our community are supported to thrive; where diverse voices are heard through our engagement with evidence-based charter frameworks for gender (Athena SWAN and Project Juno for Physics), race equality (Race Equality Charter Mark), LGBTQ+ inclusion (Stonewall Diversity Champion) and as a Disability Confident employer.

We are proud signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant and welcome applications from service people.
