Salary Grade 6 is £ 45,832 – 50,748 per annum (commensurate to experience including London Weighting.
(The pro-rata salary for grade is £36,665 - £40,598 per annum including London Weighting)
The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama is seeking to appoint a permanent Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Production Arts. The postholder will act as Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Production Arts: Props, Painting & Set for an initial fixed term of five years. Following this period, they will continue in a permanent role at a grade/title commensurate with experience.

We are looking for a colleague with significant subject knowledge and professional practice, alongside experience of teaching and learning in Higher Education. You will oversee a curriculum that is inclusive, forward-looking and at the cutting edge of Production Arts practices. Applicants with professional experience in live and/or screen performance across a range of scales and genres are welcome. This might include scenic painting, scenic construction, prop making for stage or screen, and related disciplines such as design or production management.
As Programme Leader, you will have teaching and assessment responsibility for modules primarily within Production Arts. You will also contribute to Central’s wider academic community, maintaining a portfolio of high-quality research, scholarship and/or knowledge exchange in collaboration with colleagues across the School.
You will be joining a supportive and dynamic department of academics, educators and practitioners, home to a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in technical, design, production and pedagogy. This is an exciting moment of strategic growth for Central, and your leadership will help shape an inclusive, sustainable and cutting-edge Production Arts education.
