Job description:

As a Technician, reporting to the School Safety Officer and interactions with the School Technical Manager, you will operate and maintain a wide range of fundamental, but essential business systems including the University’s financial system SAP to process a range of transactions including “goods Inwards /receipt” and asset register maintenance. You will also PAT and visually inspect incoming electrical equipment, and record relevant purchases You will support the Department Safety Officer to ensure appropriate action is taken to maintain a safe working environment. This includes advising colleagues on the safe disposal of WEEE, chemical and other waste and keeping relevant records to meet legal obligations. You will also be responsible for arranging assistance from the University facility assistants via the PlanOn system.
