University of Cambridge - Department of Land Economy

Location: Cambridge
Salary: £35,608 to £46,049
Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Fixed-Term/Contract
Placed On: 24th September 2025

Job Ref: JP47365

The Department of Land Economy and the Cambridge Real Estate Research Centre (CRERC) invite applications for the position of CRERC and MSt Business Office Coordinator (maternity cover). This is a key role at the centre of two high-profile MSt programmes and the activities of the Research Centre, offering an opportunity for a highly organised, self-motivated, and committed administrator to make a significant contribution to the work of the Department.

The postholder will play a central part in ensuring the effective delivery of the MSt in Real Estate and the MSt in Climate, Environmental and Urban Policy, both of which run multiple cohorts concurrently. Working closely with the Centre Director, Programme Directors, and colleagues across the Business Office, the Coordinator will support the academic and operational management of these programmes and contribute to the wider success of CRERC.

The role encompasses responsibility for financial oversight, including budget monitoring, forecasting, and reporting, as well as acting as the principal point of contact for students from admission through to graduation. The postholder will therefore combine a strong aptitude for administration and financial management with the ability to provide clear, professional, and empathetic support to students. Equally important will be the capacity to liaise effectively with academic staff, administrative colleagues, Colleges, and external partners, ensuring smooth communication and coordination across all aspects of the programmes and the Centre.

We are seeking an individual with excellent organisational skills, the confidence to manage a diverse workload, and the adaptability to balance initiative with collaborative working. This post provides an opportunity to contribute to the success of two leading MSt programmes and to support the research, teaching, and engagement activities of CRERC within the wider University context.

Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term maternity cover for 1 year or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
