The Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute (CI) is a joint venture between Cancer Research UK and the University of Cambridge and is situated on the Addenbrooke's Biomedical Campus in Cambridge. The Institute's mission is to tackle the most difficult problems in cancer research and improve patient outcomes.
As a Senior Research Grants Administrator at the Institute, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the Institute is able to fund an environment conducive to high-quality world class science.
The position would suit a motivated person who has already gained experience in research grants management and understands the deadline driven nature of the work. As part of a team of seven Grants Administrators you will be responsible for the proactive management of a portfolio of grants throughout the whole lifecycle from pre to post award; working closely with grant holders and their teams.
In return we can offer you:
You will be able to work independently but also be an excellent team player and be able to remain calm when working under pressure. You should be able to demonstrate excellent written English and the ability to interpret and fulfil precise requirements with meticulous attention to detail.
The role provides an excellent opportunity for you to develop your career in research grant management, whilst working in a stimulating environment supporting cancer research.
Applications are welcome for those who wish to work reduced hours spread over a 5-day working week.
