About the Role
As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Legal Technology you will play a leading role in developing and delivering innovative teaching, research and scholarship at the intersection of law and technology.
Legal practice and legal education are evolving rapidly. Each requires practitioners and students to acquire traditional legal skills whilst developing the capacity to understand and utilise new legal and digital technology. You will contribute to the School’s strategic ambition to be at the forefront of legal education by embedding digital innovation, interdisciplinary perspectives, and practice-informed approaches in our curricula.
The School of Law benefits from excellent relationships with the legal and business communities in England and Wales and you will be expected to contribute to the development of relationships with external parities to support the student experience and the reputation of Edge Hill University. You will also be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Centres and/or engage in knowledge exchange activities relevant to the Faculty.

About You
You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience.
Evidence of the delivery of an excellent teaching experience is essential. A PhD (or one close to completion) in a relevant discipline, or equivalent industry experience, is essential. To meet the criteria for Senior Lecturer, an established research and/or knowledge exchange profile in legal technology or digital innovation is required. To meet the criteria for lecturer, the potential for research and/or knowledge exchange in legal technology or digital innovation must be evidenced.
Potential candidates will be expected demonstrate an understanding of the evolving dynamics of Higher Education in the UK and globally. The successful candidate will become a member of an ambitious multidisciplinary department with an outstanding reputation for teaching and research excellence.
