Unit4 Cloud Test Lead - Grade 8

The University is embarking on an ambitious programme to move its on premise Unit4 Finance system to a cloud-based solution. A programme team has been established involving the University’s Finance, IT and Strategic Change departments. The programme aims to "adopt not adapt" the new solution, transforming ways of working and supporting users to deliver high quality finance services.

The Strategic Change Department is seeking to recruit an experienced Test Lead to support the Unit4 Cloud Programme and work collaboratively across Teams in IT, Finance and Strategic Change.

System design has been completed, and we are now embarking on the detailed planning for implementation.

The Test Lead will work as an integral member of the programme team, responsible for creating and managing a test strategy and test plans (functional and non-functional), engaging users in testing, generating test completion reports to provide assurance to stakeholders and ensuring that the agreed requirements are met and signed off. The Test Lead will be pivotal in ensuring a smooth transition on the lead up to and during implementation.

To excel in this role, you will have experience of leading large and complex testing of transactional systems, and the ability to work cross-functionally across multiple workstreams.  You will have ISTQB or equivalent experience.

This position is offered on a fixed term basis until March 2027.
