The Global Talent Consultant is responsible for generating and following up leads for industry partners to actively contribute to the strategic initiatives of a business and computing school specialising in global careers for international students. The role will help secure high quality business engagement with student consultancy projects, enterprise education, and curriculum enrichment through live business briefs. The Global Talent Consultant will act as a trusted adviser to a range of businesses and organisations in London, and beyond, on the unique perspectives and skills international students and graduates can bring to their organisations through employment and curriculum-based projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs aligned with the school’s mission, programmes, and international student profile.
  • Secure new clients for student-led group consultancy projects, ensuring relevance and impact for both students and businesses.
  • Engage entrepreneurs and startups to participate in enterprise education initiatives, including mentoring, pitch panels, and innovation challenges.
  • Source live business challenges for integration into the curriculum, enhancing experiential learning.
  • Develop resources to support lead generation and business engagement, examples include: website content, brochures and quick guides, video content, webinars, and events.  
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in an engagement database to track outreach, partnerships, and impact metrics
  • Identify networking events, conferences, and industry forums aligned with strategic objectives to promote collaboration.
  • Support the Director of Industry and Engagement to leverage strategic partnerships with industry bodies and sector-specific networks, securing exclusive work experience opportunities for students.
  • Collaborate with academic and professional services teams to align industry engagement with curriculum and career development goals.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to growth and depth of business relationships; quantity and quality of student industry experience opportunities and high quality

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Communications), highly desirable.
  • Certificates or record of training related to business development and sales, desirable.
  • Experience of business development, partnership management, or stakeholder engagement. Able to provide examples of quantified success measured by social value impact and/or securing new business. 
  • Experience within education, tech or professional services including finance would be ideal, or within an international business (e.g. CSR / Citizenship roles), or fast growth startups.
  • Experience in London and/or other global cities preferred.
  • Experience of growing relationships through several annual cycles to achieve deep partnerships with measured positive outcomes is highly desirable.  
  • Experience in overcoming objections and addressing concerns in a constructive, solutions-focused manner.
