About the role:

This is an opportunity for an experienced research Project Manager to work as a part of an innovative interdisciplinary study investigating the influence that aircraft emissions have on the climate, including the potential for soot from aircraft to provide a cooling effect. This project involves coordinates research between researchers at Imperial College London, the University of Leeds, the University of Vienna, and RIKEN in Japan.

What you would be doing:

You will be managing the overarching strategic, outreach and administrative support for the research programme, working closely with the investigators from across the programme to enable the implementation of the project’s objectives and manage all administrative processes.

Communication will be absolutely key, not just in your interactions as the key point of contact for the funder and all partners but also in planning and implementing external engagement, publicity materials, social media channels and the project website.

You will also be supporting Dr Seb Eastham across a number of other projects with these same responsibilities. Dr. Eastham is a member of the Brahmal Vasudevan Institute for Sustainable Aviation and leads the Aerospace Environmental Impacts Simulation (AEIS) group, a new research team in the Imperial College London Department of Aeronautics which is seeking to better understand – and address – the effects that aerospace emissions have on the environment. This post therefore offers an exciting opportunity particularly for anyone with an interest in sustainability.
