About the role:
The Centre for Climate Finance & Investment (CCFI), part of the Department of Finance at Imperial College Business School, is looking for a proactive and highly organised Centre Operations Coordinator to support the delivery of impactful, multi-partner research projects addressing global climate challenges. Reporting to the Centre's Academic Director, you’ll play a central role in managing day-to-day operations, financial processes, and strategic coordination across the Centre.
What you would be doing:
As Centre Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the Centre, providing essential support in areas such as staffing, meetings, events, and travel arrangements. You will monitor budgets and assist with the preparation and compliance of grant applications.
In addition, you will provide high-level administrative and personal assistant support to the Centre’s leadership, helping to facilitate effective communication across both internal and external stakeholders.
A key part of your role will involve coordinating new research operations, developing systems for secure data and document sharing, and coordinating Centre-wide communications.
What we are looking for:
We are seeking a candidate with proven experience in coordinating complex operations within a fast-paced academic or research environment. You should demonstrate strong financial acumen, including the ability to oversee budgets. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
The role requires outstanding organisational abilities and attention to detail, with a capacity to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities. Experience with university systems or research funding, and an interest in climate change or sustainability, would be a plus
