About the role
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Chemical Biology and Bioengineering to work under the supervision of Professor Yimon Aye for a period of up to 12 months.
The project involves developing and applying a novel integrated platform to study the chemical molecular mechanisms and signalling consequences of reactive small-molecule metabolites in organ regeneration, leveraging state-of-the-art chemical biology tools and established tissue injury models, in particular, the use of versatile regeneration-competent zebrafish models and is funded by Academy of Medical Sciences (AMS).

About you
Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related area (or be close to completion), prior to taking up the appointment. The research requires experience in interdisciplinary research, including small-molecule chemistry, biochemistry, cell-based, and model organism studies.
You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.
The post will be based in the Chemistry Research Laboratory, 12 Mansfield Road, Oxford, OX1 3TA and Rodney Porter Building, Sibthorp Road, off South Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 and is available from January 2026.
