Working collaboratively within a course team, you will deploy specialist expertise in styling and production, with a particular emphasis on the digital dimensions of the discipline. Within your area of expertise, you should demonstrate a strong understanding and tangible experience of how digital platforms, emerging technologies, apps, and online social networks are reshaping the opportunities available to the next generation of fashion stylists and producers within fashion media.
We ask you to inspire and excite our students, bringing to life both the technical and theoretical aspects of your field and driving pedagogy that is responsive to the fast-moving digital landscape.
Through research-led enquiry and engagement with emerging digital production processes, you will inspire the future generation of creative storytellers with energy, vision, and commitment. Your practice should consider values of ethics, diversity, and sustainability as part of your fashion thinking, to support digitally informed, creative solutions for future-facing narratives.
About you
As a professional industry practitioner, you will hold a relevant degree and be able to demonstrate significant creative success and specialist knowledge in fashion styling and creative production, with a particular strength in digital platforms, tools, and emerging technologies. You will be confident working across multi-faceted disciplines, bringing expertise in how digital and physical practices intersect within fashion media.
You will be forward-thinking and visionary, with a sharp awareness of the changing demands of the industry and a contemporary approach to image-making that reflects the rapidly evolving digital landscape of fashion styling and production.
Your portfolio will show evidence of questioning the status quo and exploring digitally driven, innovative approaches, marking you out as a significant contributor to advancing your area of expertise and inspiring the next generation of digital fashion storytellers.
A relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous, while industry experience is essential. Experience in higher education is also required.
