Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) London is a student-centred, teaching-focussed provider of undergraduate and postgraduate education. Based in East London, very close to the East India Docklands Light Railway station, ARU London has a student population of over 6,000 students studying subjects related to Business and Management; Finance and Accounting; Health and health care; Events, Hospitality and Tourism; and Law.
Continued growth in demand for our student-focused courses has led to the opportunity to expand our exceptional delivery team through the addition of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Health.
We are seeking an academic who has relevant sector experience and a solid grounding in all aspects of health and social care, particularly Public/Community Health. The ideal candidate will have a detailed grasp of sectoral contemporary issues and challenges. Successful applicants will be employed to deliver a range of health and social care modules. Familiarity with digital and AI-driven healthcare would be an advantage.
Our ideal candidate will have a wide suite of subject knowledge and be flexible enough to work on some evenings and Saturdays, in addition to normal Monday to Friday sessions. Above all, they will be inspirational, supportive and demonstrate their passion for designing and delivering transformative education to our students. All employees will be required to teach face-to-face, in our well-resourced buildings.
If you are enthused with your subject, motivated by helping students develop their professional knowledge and skills, share our belief in the transformational nature of education, capable of working in a high-tempo environment, and wish to be rewarded for your teaching excellence, then we would like to talk to you about opportunities at ARU London.
You will be qualified to a minimum of Master’s Degree level in a relevant discipline, and doctoral qualifications are desirable. A strong grounding in industry will be an advantage, together with fellowship (or commitment to gain fellowship) of the HEA.
Interviews will be held in person on Tuesday 11th November 2025.
