About us

The Policy Institute at King’s College London works to solve society’s challenges with evidence and expertise. Part of the Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy, it combines the rigour of academia with the agility of a consultancy and the connectedness of a think tank.

The School for Government at King's College London is committed to creating a world governed with intelligence, integrity and innovation.

It provides a new approach to educating the current and future leaders who will guide our institutions through turbulent times.

We are seeking a School Programme Manager to join the Policy Institute at King’s College London, part of the Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to play a key role in managing and developing the school’s educational programmes, ensuring their smooth delivery while helping to enhance our profile and reach with diverse audiences.

About the role

The Policy Institute at King’s College London is looking for a School Programme Manager to help us deliver an outstanding experience for our students and staff. You will be at the heart of our education offer, supporting the smooth running of residential, online and blended programmes, and making sure everything we do reflects the high standards and ambition of King’s.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will take the lead in organising and coordinating programmes and short courses, working closely with academic colleagues and professional services teams to ensure activities run on time and to plan. From assessments and progression processes to introducing new systems and ways of working, you will have the opportunity to shape how our programmes are delivered and continuously improve the experience for students.

As well as overseeing operations, you will lead and support a small team of professional services staff. We are looking for someone who enjoys motivating others, developing talent, and creating a positive, inclusive culture where everyone feels supported. You will make sure workloads are managed fairly, provide constructive feedback, and help your team reach their potential.

Collaboration will be key in this role. You will work with colleagues across the School, Faculty and wider university, as well as with external partners, to make sure our provision is of the highest quality. You will also use data and insights to track how we are performing, identify areas for improvement, and contribute ideas that will strengthen our education strategy.

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and solutions-focused, with the confidence to balance detail with the bigger picture. If you are excited by the idea of improving systems, supporting people, and ensuring students have the best possible experience, we would love to hear from you.

This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

We offer hybrid working with an expectation to be on-site for 40% of the time.
