LSE Research and Innovation helps to develop and sustain an environment that makes LSE the best place in the world to do excellent and impactful social science research. We provide high quality support to LSE’s academics, students and alumni across all stages of the research lifecycle and ensure responsible research practice which complies with relevant regulations and operates with rigour and integrity.
The Impact and Innovation Evaluation Manager will work with the Senior Research Impact Manager, Head of R&I Evidence and Analysis, and LSE’s wider engagement and impact support services to monitor and evaluate LSE impacts on a live basis in support of key areas of strategic importance to the LSE2030 research strategy. The role will prioritise monitoring and evaluation of research and innovation impact not currently captured by the REF and KEF exercises at LSE. They will support researchers, departments or centres and the School as a whole to plan for high-quality impact, and advise on monitoring, evaluating and evidencing impacts.
LSE was among the first universities to combine its impact and innovation functions, to better reflect the impact development routes of social sciences research. This role will work across both areas.
Candidates should have experience of developing impact measurement frameworks such as theories of change and logic models, excellent analytical skills, and a good understanding of research impact and knowledge exchange.

LSE is a campus-based university and staff are expected to attend the London campus in fulfilling their role. Most staff balance working from the campus or remotely and for this we can role we can offer flexible working patterns, and a blend of on-campus and remote working.
