About the role
We are seeking a committed and forward-thinking academic to join the School of Accounting and Finance as an Associate Professor in Finance. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a thriving research environment, supporting colleagues, developing collaborative partnerships, and helping to shape the School’s strategic direction.
You will be expected to lead high-quality research, secure external funding, and engage with external stakeholders to enhance the School’s contribution to wider society. You will also play a key role in delivering engaging teaching across undergraduate, postgraduate, and distance learning programmes. The position involves contributing to curriculum development, mentoring students and colleagues, and supporting the School’s academic leadership. You will be encouraged to take initiative, work collaboratively, and help foster a positive and innovative learning environment.
About you
You will hold a PhD in Finance and bring a strong record of research aligned with the School’s priorities. Your experience will include publishing in respected journals, supervising postgraduate researchers, and contributing to academic leadership. You will be committed to creating a supportive and stimulating learning experience and have experience teaching students at various levels.
You will be an effective communicator who values collaboration and diverse perspectives. Your approach to teaching and research will reflect a commitment to excellence, innovation, and continuous development.
