The Professional Work Experience (PWE) Team is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Employer Engagement Adviser to be the first point of contact for employers wanting to engage with the Student Professional Development (SPD) Team.
The post-holder will liaise with employers to provide a service to: Placements, Internships, Careers, Employability, Volunteers and Entrepreneur Hub and organise Brunel University London Fairs and Employer Presentations. You will also contribute to the Employer and Community Liaison areas of the SPD.
You should have experience in engaging with employers in sourcing talent for their various recruitment programmes, recommending ways in which they can improve these programmes. You should have the ability to build and maintain relationships effectively in a challenging job market. You are expected to have advanced IT skills and experience of developing administrative systems to enable you to support on the development of SPD systems and technology enhancement. Furthermore, you will make an active contribution to the wider strategy of the SPD. The Employer Engagement Adviser will also work with all departments in the SPD to cross sell the various employability programmes of the SPD to our employers and generating new employer contacts yearly, through networking, cold-calling and internet research to ensure we have a wide variety of vacancies for our students. Occasional weekend work will be expected.
