About this role
We are seeking to appoint a new Lecturer in Criminology to help develop and contribute to teaching, research and knowledge exchange within the School of Social Sciences at UWE Bristol. We are a significant department, with several hundred students and over 20 members of staff.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for the right individual to contribute to our lively department, where colleagues have a range of academic interests and real-world expertise. You will support the delivery of undergraduate modules across the Criminology portfolio. This will involve teaching, assessment, and supporting students' academic and professional development. Depending on your interests and expertise, there may also be opportunities to contribute to curriculum design, module leadership, or applied research activities.
About you
We require candidates that have a diverse skill set and are well-versed in guiding students through the core concepts and application of Criminology.
You should be qualified to a post-graduate level (or near completion) with relevant academic experience. If from a professional practice/industry background, you should hold a qualification equivalent to a master’s degree (or above) in a subject relevant to this post, along with professional/industry experience. You should also be able to showcase evidence of your continuous academic/professional growth in relevant subject areas.
