About the role
We are seeking a proactive, self-motivated and collegiate Lecturer in Pharmaceutics to assist in the delivery of our undergraduate pharmacy, pharmacology and bioscience courses. Our Department and University have achieved an excellent reputation for teaching, and we are seeking a high-quality candidate to further enhance the academic and employability skills of our students.
This role will involve small group teaching, lecturing, delivery of practical classes and supporting students on undergraduate/postgraduate courses as well as administrative, assessment and exam duties as required. This post will support learning and teaching in the subject area of pharmaceutics.
The Department of Life Sciences at the University of Bath has over 90 academic staff across a broad range of disciplines including, biochemistry, cell & developmental biology, evolution, genetics, immunology microbiology, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacy and structural biology. The vast majority of research within the merged departments was rated as 4* or 3* in the last (REF2021) assessment.
Job purpose:
Whilst it is expected that teaching will be informed by research/professional expertise, there is no research component to this role.

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for until the end of January 2027 to cover parental leave.
