We are looking for an enthusiastic Medical Education Facilitator to join our Integrated Clinical Methods (ICM) team and support the delivery of the graduate-entry MBChB programme at the Three Counties Medical School (TCMS), University of Worcester.

TCMS opened in September 2023 with a mission to widen access to medicine and retain graduates in the local region. Our curriculum is built around problem-based learning (PBL), with early patient contact and clinical placements at its core. The ICM team plays a key role in developing students’ communication and clinical examination skills.

In this role, you will facilitate small-group ICM sessions to help students develop consultation and clinical skills, work closely with colleagues to design cases, learning resources, and assessment materials, and play an active role in assessment, including Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs). You will also contribute to the ongoing development of the MBChB curriculum.

We are seeking someone with a strong interest in medical education and training, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to support self-directed learners. Ideally, you will have experience teaching medical students or similar, but enthusiasm and a willingness to develop as an educator are key. Flexibility and a collaborative approach are essential to meet the needs of a dynamic curriculum.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative medical school with a strong social mission. You will have access to professional development opportunities and work within a supportive, forward-thinking team shaping the future of medical education.

This is a part-time role requiring availability on both Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What's in it for you?

  • Annual incremental increase up to £55,755 pro rata, with the opportunity to progress to £60,907 pro rata subject to performance and the university reward scheme
  • 47 days of leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays and University closure days) pro rata
  • Attractive Company Pension Scheme
  • Access to a range of benefits such as our Staff Retail Benefits Scheme, Cycle to Work Scheme and Tusker Car Leasing
  • Wellbeing advice and support through our Employee Assistance Programme
  • In-house training and development support
  • A friendly, inclusive and supportive culture and work environment

Informal enquiries should be addressed to Dr Richard Singleton, ICM and Clinical Skills Lead: r.singleton@worc.ac.uk

Closing Date: Sunday 02 November 2025
Interview Date: Thursday 20 November 2025
