This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you interested in contributing to a dynamic institute at the University of Leeds? Do you excel in attention to detail and have a passion for supporting others? This role will give you the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team supporting vital activities that further the objectives of the Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence and our partnership with the UK SoTL Alliance and our external event, the Dales Dialogues in Higher Education.
The Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence (LITE) embodies the University’s commitment to excellence and innovation in education as its Research and Development function in Student Education. It achieves its goals through conducting strategic educational research, supporting and developing a community of fellows and research communities of practice, and through events and activities for the student education community at Leeds and more widely.
LITE works with institutions across the UK and is looking to set up wider partnership research opportunities. In the UK LITE has been a key stakeholder in the development of the UK SoTL Alliance, a developing collaboration of universities to support the development of pedagogical research and lobby for greater recognition of the contributions of education focussed research. The post holder will support the development of the UK SoTL Alliance as well as members of the LITE team.
The post holder will be supporting the UK SoTL Alliance and the Dales Dialogues in Higher Education through efficient and effective administrative support and well as publishing communications materials. Working with limited supervision and an ability to balance priorities will be key to success in this role. You will be required to deal with complex academic and administrative information and provide clear and succinct responses. The post holder will possess the experience, confidence and interpersonal skills to be able to work with a wide range of staff across a range of institutions in the UK. You will be supported on more complex processes by the LITE Head of Operations where appropriate.
Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role is not suitable for first-time Skilled Worker visa applicants. Information on other visa options is available at: www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration/work-visas.
