You will work under the supervision of Dr Jessie Baldwin in a dynamic, supportive, and collaborative team.

About the role

This position provides an exciting opportunity to join a UKRI funded project aiming to identify environmental factors that interrupt the intergenerational transmission of mental health problems. This will involve applying causal inference methods to data from longitudinal cohort studies, national registries, and health records.

  • The starting salary for this role is fixed at G7, SP 31 (£45,103, inclusive of London Allowance).
  • Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Grade 6B (salary £39,148 - £41,833 per annum) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD Thesis.
  • This role is an open-ended contract with a funding duration of 3 years.
  • This role meets the eligibility requirements for a skilled worker certificate of sponsorship or a global talent visa under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL welcomes applications from international applicants who require a visa.

About you

The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant area (e.g., psychiatric epidemiology, developmental psychiatry, mental health), a high-quality publication portfolio, and excellent statistical and communication skills.
