Senior Admissions Officer Systems and Data

About the role

The College’s Admissions section are seeking a Senior Admissions Officer to join the Admissions Systems and Data team. This is a unique opportunity to combine your admissions knowledge with your systems and data expertise in an innovative role that focuses on exploring and providing data and system solutions to stakeholders across the College.

What you would be doing

The post-holder will develop their understanding of the College’s admissions systems and use this to ensure data and functional accuracy within the system, provide reporting and to use bulk processes to support key business activities. The post-holder will have expertise in data analysis, reporting and reconciliation activities, and will be highly competent in independently using and maintaining a range of ICT systems and databases.  Using your data interrogation skills, you will identify data misalignments and system anomalies. You will use your expertise in business processes, systems and data to independently resolve errors.  You will provide excellent customer service to key internal and external stakeholders, supporting with data and training needs. 

What we are looking for

•  
• Knowledge and understanding of UK Higher Education, including UCAS and CAS production
• Excellent ICT skills with the ability to understand system interactions & use this to explore and resolve system errors independently, to maintain accuracy
• Experience of maintaining and using databases & systems to build live reporting solutions and to extract data for analyses
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to join, manipulate and analyse complex data sets in Excel using a range of formulae, and provide appropriate business context for stakeholders at different levels of seniority
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce & deliver written and verbal training and advice to colleagues with different levels of expertise across various business functions
