Are you passionate about the food and beverage industry and teaching? Birkbeck Business School is looking to recruit a part-time, fixed-term Associate Lecturer to teach on the postgraduate module:
This is an exciting opportunity to teach on the MSc Culinary Innovation Management programme offered in conjunction with Le Cordon Bleu, London.
As Associate Lecturer you will deliver excellent teaching in the sustainability area at postgraduate level, with a focus on the food and beverage industry, and contribute to the teaching quality within the Business School. You will develop and apply innovative, and relevant, teaching content and material that create a stimulating, intellectual environment amongst our students.
You will use effective learning support and identify areas in need of revision or improvement, and you'll take responsibility for the delivery of the module and assessment methods, including the setting, marking and moderation of student work.
You will also be providing constructive feedback, and ensuring it is in accordance with quality assurance procedures, and you'll be a responsible team member and develop productive working relationships with other members of staff.

Remuneration:
Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate £69.68 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier’ at 2.5, which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
Contract:
