A unique opportunity for an individual to join as a Laboratory Technician in the Veterinary Medicine School at the University of Surrey, responsible for the daily support, maintenance, and operation of the Research Laboratories within the School of Veterinary Medicine, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-supported research environment (this is a full-time permanent role).
You’ll support laboratory operations, providing skilled technical support is available to assist lab users with best practices while maintaining compliance with Health & Safety regulations.

Role & Responsibilities
You’ll be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing laboratory consumables and equipment, ensuring availability and safe functionality. You will directly support research activities by providing inductions for new research staff, training on specific equipment, and hands-on assistance as required, working collaboratively with your line manager to maintain high standards of research support.
