Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent
Placed On: 13th October 2025

Would you like to help Cambridge University students, alumni and postdocs decide on the career path, secure their goals and thrive in their roles?

We are looking for a Careers Associate to join our team who will be delivering careers services to our wide range of clients. The role involves a broad range of delivery, including creating online content, such as videos and blog posts, delivering group workshops, facilitating panels of alumni and meeting clients for one-to-one careers consultations.

The Careers Associate will work collaboratively with colleagues from across the Careers Service, and potentially from other areas of the university too to ensure that we are delivering timely interventions via the appropriate mechanisms, so that the widest possible range of clients are able to take advantage of our services.

The team is always looking to improve what we do, so we always have various projects underway, and the Careers Associate will work as part of these multi-disciplinary teams, as well as researching topics on their own.

All this means that the Careers Associate will need to be skilled in various types of content creation, and adept at both in person and online workshop facilitation, presentations and one-to-one information advice and guidance, and an excellent collaborative team player.

We would love to have as diverse a range of applications as possible, as we serve a very wide range of people. Applicants do not need to have worked in a careers department before, but we are looking for people who understand professional working and know about the labour market.

You can expect to receive:

  • A competitive salary with automatic service-related progression and annual cost of living increases
  • A generous annual leave allowance
  • Access to a pension scheme with attractive employer contributions

Please note: the start date for this role is 19th January 2026
