About this role
We are continuing to expand our Cyber Security activities within the School of Computing and Creative Technologies (SCCT) and are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Cyber Security. This area is well established in SCCT. We are recognised by NCSC as a Gold Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE-CSE), and are the lead partner on the Unlockcyber (https://www.unlockcyber.com/) outreach project.
We offer a BSc in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, an NCSC accredited MSc in Cyber Security, and a provisionally NCSC accredited Integrated degree apprenticeship taught at our partner Gloucester College in Cheltenham.
We have recently benefited from a substantial investment in research capacity by the university, have a community of active PhD students and collaborate closely with Industry and Government.
About you
You will either have a PhD in Cyber Security, Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent industry experience. Expertise aligned with one of the following CyBOK KAs would be ideal:
The primary focus of this role will be teaching, and we will expect you to support teaching on our programmes, although you will be encouraged and supported in your research ambitions.
