The opportunity
Are you an experienced academic with a passion for higher education admissions and student recruitment? Chelsea College of Arts is seeking a College Admissions Tutor to play a key role in shaping the future of our creative community.
Chelsea College of Arts offers a stimulating environment for developing students’ creative practice and serves as an international hub exploring global perspectives in art and design. As a College Admissions Tutor, you’ll play a central role in processing undergraduate and postgraduate applications to the School of Design, providing key academic insight to ensure that the School continues to recruit skilled and ambitious creatives looking to deepen their knowledge and enhance their skills.
You’ll oversee and support the academic decision-making process, ensuring that offers are made to meet intake targets. This includes providing academic oversight for offer making, acting as the lead contact for student recruitment within the school, and managing fractional College Admissions Tutors. Your duties will also involve reviewing applications and portfolios, making decisions on offers, rejections, and cross referrals, and supporting interviews.
In addition to your admissions responsibilities, you’ll also support the wider Student Marketing and Recruitment Team in promoting undergraduate and postgraduate study.
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a higher degree (e.g. MA) in a relevant field and will have previous experience in student recruitment or admissions within the higher education sector. Teaching and learning experience, or equivalent industry experience in your subject areas of expertise, is also essential.
You’ll possess strong teamwork, organisational, and management skills, with the ability to build effective teams, networks, or communities of practice and foster constructive collaboration across teams.
This is an exciting and varied role that offers an excellent opportunity to further your career at a world leading arts institution, while contributing directly to enhancing the student experience and maintaining excellent standards of customer service.
