LSE is the world’s leading social science institution, which attracts students from across the globe. LSE Catering have a variety of different outlets that offer freshly cooked foods, with an outstanding hospitality department, intimate fine dining events from 4 – 15 people and 4 catered Halls of Residence. Working with top quality produce with welfare and sustainability at heart, each day is different, offering our guests diverse and creative world food.
You will be responsible for cooking and presenting a wide variety of dishes to the highest standard. In addition, you will assist with menu planning, stock management, and keeping waste to a minimum. Maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety practices will be a key part of your role. You will also support and guide junior team members while ensuring fantastic customer service is always delivered.

All catering staff work flexibly and may be required to work in any of LSE Catering facilities. Working hours are varied and may involve early mornings, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. We offer straight shifts over an average 35-hour week.
There are 3 chef positions available based at Rosebery Hall, Passfield Hall and Carr Saunders Hall.
