HRUC (Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges) is a thriving Further Education College group in West London with far reaching ambitions for our IT and digital provision. We are seeking a pro-active, customer-focused individual looking to develop a career in IT to join our successful team.  

You would provide efficient and effective 2nd line support, responding to incidents and requests from customers, diagnosing device faults and ensuring optimal availability of IT equipment to our learners and staff. The role will also involve assisting in the administration of Active Directory and Microsoft 365, testing and evaluating new software, installation of IT equipment and software and ensuring calls are logged and monitored effectively, escalating where necessary.

You will be a customer-focused team player, with an enthusiasm and interest in learning new technologies. You should have a good working knowledge of the following:

  • Networking principles including TCPIP, DNS and DHCP and cyber security best practices
  • Experience of Active Directory administration
  • Administration of Exchange Online, including mail flow, security and compliance.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system support and troubleshooting
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware/software faults, perform root cause analysis, and escalate issues appropriately
