This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional academic to join the J.E. Cairnes School of Business and Economics as Professor In Accountancy. The School is one of three within the College of Business, Public Policy and Law, and is AACSB, AMBA and EFMD programme accredited, a member of PRME, and holds an Athena Swan Silver award for equality. Its mission is for the public good, with a strategic focus on research and impact, teaching and learning, external engagement, and internationalisation.
The Accountancy and Finance Discipline is nationally and internationally recognised for excellence in teaching and research. It offers three professionally accredited masters programmes: Master of Accounting; MSc in International Accounting and Analytics; and MSc in Corporate Finance (affiliated with the CFA Institute), as well as a dedicated Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), and specialist streams in the Bachelor of Commerce. The Discipline also contributes to the School’s flagship MBA programme. ESG perspectives are embedded across curricula, preparing skilled, engaged, and civically minded graduates.

The successful candidate will be expected to take on leadership roles in the Discipline of Accountancy and Finance, contribute to the leadership and development of J.E.
