Applications are invited for two highly motivated Research Assistants to join the Brain Tumour Biology Laboratory led by Prof Petra Hamerlik at the University of Manchester. The research assistants will be expected to support members of the group in the completion of the project (e.g., note-keeping, particularly for our human samples).
The post-holders will be supporting a project using brain tumour tissue and liquid biopsies for a comprehensive multi-omics characterisation and development of pre-clinical models of brain tumours. Collected snap-frozen tissue and liquid biopsies will be analysed using mass spectrometry for global proteome/metabolome analysis and state-of-the-art Oxford Nanopore (ONT) sequencing.
